Here's the place for a fun summer and a swim!
Welcome to Ilda Pool which is right around the corner and in the middle of the neighborhoods of Willow Woods, Woods of Ilda, Springbrook Forest and Oak Hill.
Ilda is a membership organization. Our Active Members are shareholders in the association's future. They have a vote and a voice in the organization's governance. An elected Board of Directors conducts day-to-day business on behalf of the membership. Being an Ilda member means more than joining a health club or municipal pool. It means taking on a commitment to Ilda's success. Consider how you might like to volunteer to support your pool and your community and contact a board member to volunteer.Latest News (updated May 18, 2012)
Ilda Maintenance
Kevin Grottle, our intrepid Maintenance leader, has scheduled four different clean up weekends for this spring. If you have not had a chance to come down and help, there is one weekend left and it happens to be this weekend, May 19-20. The core hours are 10 AM until 2 PM. However, a Board member will likely be there a little earlier and, as long as work remains, crews are welcome to stay a little later. So please stop by for an hour or the whole day. Any time you can provide makes a difference. All hours worked are credited towards the membership service fee rebate, and if you show up any two days you are automatically credited for the full amount necessary regardless of how long you can stay.
Save the Dates
The Annual Member Meeting is Friday, May 25th at 7 PM which will be followed by a social gathering. Join us at the pavilion for a brief business meeting followed by a some great conversation with your Ilda friends. Complimentary hors d'oevres and drinks (beer and wine) will be provided.
Casino night is returning at a new date - September 8th. This is the first Saturday after the pool closes. This will allow the excitement to build all summer for this event. Once again, Brian Bishop has agreed to lead this effort. Watch for lots more details in the near future.
Summer 2012
Opening day is almost here. Ilda will open for the 2012 season at 11:00 AM sharp on Saturday, May 26. Once again LRCA is sponsoring a "Dip and Dive" for that day. The pool will be open to all members of the community and there will be ice cream for all provided by LRCA.
Brick Walkway
The 27 bricks from the first order have been installed. Orders are still being accepted and all future orders will need just 10 bricks to avoid a service charge. For all of the details on Ilda's commemorative brick program, please click on the Buy-a-Brick Campaign link in the menu on the left side of this page.
Swim and Dive Teams
The Clippers Swim Team is in division 14 this season (up one from last season). Last year's coaching staff is returning. The meet schedule has been released. See the Swim Team page for all of the details.
The Clippers Dive Team is in division 6 this season. Last year's coaching staff is returning. The meet schedule has been released. See the Dive Team page for all of the details.
Pool Board
The first Ilda electronic board election has was held this past fall. Katarina Zuber was elected as the new Membership person and Paul Viola was re-elected to a Pool Operations second term. They both ran unopposed. Valerie Smith's term as Social Director ended in 2011 but the board has been unable to identify a member willing to run for that position. Valerie has graciously agreed to continue on for a little while longer as we continue to search for a replacement. For information on the joining the board, please click here.
